Ink & Masks - creepy masks for your delectation!

Materials used: pen & ink and brush pen, plaster of paris mask.

My current full time 3-D project. I am venturing with some speed into the world of mask and marionette decoration. If you are a mask maker, puppeteer and marionette crafter then please get in touch, I would love to hear from you.

Memento Mori - Sea Sticks. Memories of those lost at sea. Materials used: reclaimed, untreated wood, pen and ink, brush pen.

I love memento mori. My sea sticks project is a not-for-profit personal project that I go back to inbetween projects with deadlines and trying to earn a living. One day I will live in a hut, carve my sticks, ink them and send them out to the salty sea for all those lost and taken.

Wood puzzle - exhibition piece for the Victoria & Albert Museum. Materials used: untreated wood, canvas, pen and ink, brush pen.

In 2006, 240 people entered the 'Inspired by…' competition, coming from around 50 colleges and institutions nationally and encouraged by 60 tutors in art and crafts. Artworks were selected by 19 judging curators and educators to go on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

The brief was to create an original artwork inspired by a piece then currently on display at the V&A. My piece, 'The Egging of Stephen Street' was inspired by Grinling Gibbons 'The Stoning of St.Stephen'. Materials used were untreated wood, brush pen and pen and ink.
